{Throwback Thursday} Art in Bloom

What I truly loved about designing the Elizabeth Murray's, Night Reach was the electric coloring. Orchids are a perfect choice when you need strong pigment or some straight up color. If you ever need a vibrant green go for Anthuriums if you can handle the shape. Use them in designs as obvious focal points. Here's a better approach with less flowers... | An update version|

I love this design. It's a super chic way to design high end floral mixed with seasonal ornamentals.

Group the floral varieties moving back to front cutting each stem gradually and moving to the center. Keep in mind the height of the vase. Taller vases call for taller stems. { I should also mention that I'm using floral foam cut about 1" above the rim of the vase }

Frame the focal point. I love fantasia aralia or monstera leaves

Can you believe those dusty lavender roses? I adore lavender rose mixes. Ombre has been a big deal for a while now and there's a reason. Blending color adds so much depth and softness. So romantic! The urban flair of exposed brick with a touch of vintage made the wedding a classic. 

My brainchild for this was elevating the cylinder vase on a tall urn acting as a pedestal. This took some thought and while my design mechanics worked and there were no dreaded crashes:) I would consider more reinforcements.

Historic Milwaukee Wedding; Downton Abbey Glamour

What elegance! This era is by far my favorite. Can you imagine secret gardens, impeccably curated lawns, grand fountains. Love!

 University Club Milwaukee boasts beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the surrounding skyline (I'm having a hard time writing skyline in comparison to Chicago ); But a skyline nonetheless!

The venue dates back to 1898 by alumni seeking an atmosphere in which excellence thrived. This is not presently missed. Hearken to an era of intricate detail, elegance and etiquette Milwaukee Brides should look no further.
